INTRUSIVE

Director of Photography, Colorist, and Producer for Intrusive, a short film exploring grief, isolation, and the unnerving intimacy of being truly seen. Shot with vintage lenses on a modern camera body to create a timeless, textured look, and finished with one of my most detailed color grades to date. Intrusive screened at the Chicago Horror Film Festival and earned multiple awards on the festival circuit.

One of the biggest challenges as a colorist was developing three distinct color palettes to guide the film’s emotional journey. The film progresses from a lush green, evoking a sense of life and memory, into a sterile green that reflects isolation and detachment. Finally, it shifts to warm tungsten tones, bringing an intimate and uneasy closeness as the story reaches its climax. This deliberate progression helps deepen the viewer’s connection to the protagonist’s evolving state of mind.
